Known for a voice that radiates clarity, warmth, and profound emotional depth, Sophia is set to deliver an unforgettable musical experience. We are incredibly excited to welcome her to our stage and share her artistry with our community.
About the Artist: A Rising Star
Sophia Sambrana is a dedicated performer and current student at the prestigious Josie De Leon (JDL) School of Performing Arts, where she has been rigorously training in voice, acting, and stage performance since October 2023.
Her theatrical resumé is already immensely impressive. She has taken on lead and significant roles in various prominent productions at the City Playhouse, including playing Wendy in Love Me, Love Me Not (Season 2), Queen Elsa in Disney Frozen Jr., Moana in the JDL Goes Disney showcase, and the upcoming role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls Jr. (scheduled for March 2026).
Beyond the theatre, Sophia is a decorated vocalist. She captured First Place (Prime Division) at the 2024 Canada Center “Center Stage” Talent Competition and was a Grand Finalist in both the Long & McQuade Singing Contest (Youth Division) and the Boses ng Fiesta (PCCF Pinoy Fiesta 2025). As a core member of JDL Harmony, she frequently performs at major concerts, festivals, Canada Day celebrations, and community events.
A Familiar Face at St. Marlyn Sophia is no stranger to the St. Marlyn family. In 2025, she competed in our highly acclaimed Voice Power music competition in Toronto. Her performance was a standout moment—her pristine vocals, unshakable confidence, and captivating stage presence left a lasting impression on both the judging panel and the live audience.
